ROUGH SKETCHES

After confirming the expectations and requirements of the final design with the client, I immediately take pen to paper. I have found that producing a couple dozen thumbnail sketches often opens up many different creative avenues for each project. This initial step looks different depending on the project itself; it could look like 30-45 thumbnail sketches for a logo design, but it could also be 10-15 different layouts and/or aesthetics for a production, print, or website design. After comprising all of the options I can deliver to the client, I like to meet with them to discuss what they like, and where they want to see improvements. From here, I can more on to the next phase of my design process: refined sketches.

REFINED SKETCHES

After meeting or talking to the client for a second time, I am able to gather collective feedback to apply to the design process moving forward. Having selected a handful of stronger concepts, I am able to push the best options a little farther, which includes taking all of these few designs digital. The result from this part of the design process is 3-5 fully realized designs. After this is complete, its time to meet with the client for a last time to select the best design for the project.

FINAL SKETCHES

After meeting with the client to select the final design, I push it even farther to ensure the best quality design. This might look like double and triple checking all the details of the design, as well as creating multiple iterations of the same design (slight color changes, scale options, etc.). After the design is fully finished, I will professional package the files together and send them to the client as well as wherever else they need to go!
